In the Beginning

Joseph A. O’Keefe co-founded O’Keefe & Sher, P.C. in 1995. Attorneys Amy J. Miller and Jacob T. Thielen joined the firm in 2011. In 2013, the firm was renamed when Amy J. Miller and Jacob T. Thielen became Attorney O’Keefe’s partners. The firm was renamed again in 2020 after Attorney O’Keefe moved out of state.

Amy J. Miller, Esq.

Amy J. Miller, Esq. - Partner: Amy grew up in the Lehigh Valley and graduated from Northampton High School. She graduated cum laude from Moravian College in 2005 with a double major in Criminal Justice and Spanish. She attended Widener University School of Law, Harrisburg Campus, graduating cum laude in 2009, while at Widener, Amy was a member of the Trial Advocacy Honor Society.


Amy was an associate with O’Keefe & Sher, P.C. for two and half years prior to being named a Partner with O’Keefe, Miller & Thielen, P.C. Amy handles the firm’s family law matters and wills and estates.


Amy is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Berks County Bar Association and Lehigh County Bar Association, Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce and attorney advisor for the Fleetwood HS Mock Trial Team as well as a member of the Lower Macungie Township Planning Comission.


Amy is a strong advocate for the Kutztown and Fleetwood business community. She also enjoys fundraising for a variety of Non-Profit Organizations. 


Amy currently resides in Macungie with her husband and their son and daughter.

Jacob T. Thielen, Esq.

Jacob T. Thielen, Esq. - Partner: Jacob grew up in the Lehigh Valley and graduated from Parkland High School. He attended college at James Madison University, where he graduated cum laude in Political Science and with distinction for completing an honors thesis. He attended law school at Villanova University and received his juris doctorate. While in law school, Jacob worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable James T. Anthony in Lehigh County. He also worked as a certified legal intern for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.


Prior to joining O’Keefe, Miller & Thielen, P.C., Jacob served as a law clerk to both the Honorable Joseph F. Kameen, President Judge, and the Honorable Gregory H. Chelak in Pike County. After his clerkship ended, Jacob worked nearly two years as an Associate at O’Keefe & Sher, P.C., where he gained significant experience in criminal law and civil litigation. Jacob has successfully represented clients in fifteen counties across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.


Jacob is currently a member of both the Berks County and Lehigh County Bar Associations, Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce and attorney advisor for the Fleetwood HS Mock Trial Team.


Outside of practicing law, Jacob is an assistant coach for the Parkland Aquatic Club, where he coaches competitive swimmers. He also volunteers as the President of the Board of Directors for the Valley Swim League. In his spare time, Jacob enjoys exercising, competing in running races, reading and rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Rashid O. Santiago, Esq.

Rashid O. Santiago, Esq.- Associate: Rashid grew up in the Lehigh Valley and attended William Allen High School before attending and graduating from George School located in Newtown, PA. He graduated cum laude from Gwynedd Mercy College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He attended Widener University School of Law, Delaware Campus, graduating with his Juris Doctorate in 2010. While in law school, Rashid worked as a certified legal intern for the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office. After law school, Rashid served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable John A. Boccabella in the Berks County Court of Common Pleas. Since 2014, Rashid has served as a Magisterial District Judge in Allentown. In that capacity, he presides over civil matters, including: torts, contract disputes, and landlord/tenant complaints. He also presides over traffic and criminal matters, including summary trials, preliminary hearings, and setting bail. 


Rashid is a member of the Lehigh County Bar Association and a Board Member of the Allentown School District Foundation. Outside of work, Rashid enjoys coaching youth basketball. 


Marci Schlegel  - Paralegal: Marci grew up in Berks County and graduated from Brandywine Heights Area High School in 2001.  Her secretarial and customer service experience comes from working in various office settings throughout the area. 


Marci is the Vice President of Pioneer Grange in Topton and an active member of St. Peter’s UCC, Topton.  In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, exploring new places with her husband and relaxing at home with the family.


She resides in Fleetwood with her husband and their blended family.
